Philosophy

Lí is the light that depends. Two yang lines embrace a central yin: luminous emptiness at the heart of fire. Fire cannot exist alone; it must cling to something to manifest itself. This dependence is not weakness but the condition of all illumination: consciousness needs an object to know itself. Lí teaches that inner clarity arises from the full acceptance of our dual nature: light and darkness interwoven.

The Image

The flame that needs something to cling to in order to shine and give warmth.
