Philosophy

Xùn teaches us the power of the soft over the hard. The yin line at the base—apparent weakness—is actually the point of penetration: the wind does not collide with obstacles, it flows around them. Two yang lines above support and direct this penetrating energy. On the human level, Xùn speaks of influence exercised with delicacy, persuasion that transforms without imposing. Like a tree root that, slowly, breaks the hardest rock.
