Meaning
Uriel, "Fire of God", is the archangel of wisdom and illumination. In the Book of Enoch he is the one who warns Noah of the flood and who guards the gates of Eden with his flaming sword. Tradition associates him with the sephira of Netzach, the victory of perseverance. Uriel holds the book of all wisdom and the torch of eternal fire: his light does not burn but reveals.
